Fundraising

Within our current structure, 100% of donated funds go to supporting students.

This is achieved through donation pages that are set up directly with each institution we partner with.

An added benefit to this fundraising method is the fact that donors receive official tax receipts through the schools.

Our intention with these institutions is to create endowments, which would support students in perpetuity. While we work to achieve this, our family contributes to annual award sums so that they can continue to be given out.

What is our financial structure?

How can I learn about the impact of my donation?

We are always giving updates on the disbursals of our awards!

The Courage to Persevere Project respectfully acknowledges that its founders are uninvited guests that live and work on the traditional and unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsépsəm (Esquimalt) Nations) and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples (MÁLEXEȽ – Malahat First Nation, BOḰEĆEN – Pauquachin First Nation, SȾÁ¸UTW̱ – Tsawout First Nation, W̱JOȽEȽP – Tsartlip First Nation, and W̱SÍḴEM – Tseycum First Nation).

We acknowledge with gratitude the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, whose historical relationships with these lands, waters, and communities continue to this day. We recognize the enduring presence and resilience of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples across what is now called Canada, and the ongoing impacts of colonization, forced displacement, and genocide. With humility, we commit ourselves to meaningful action in advancing reconciliation and to supporting the success and well-being of Indigenous learners in post-secondary education.
